Summary

From his angle on the floor, he could see both of Jing Yuan’s eyes burst to life, a delightful smile taking over his features, as he reached down towards him on one knee. He began speaking in the Xianzhou dialect out of habit, and the words that left his lips embarrassed Dan Heng to no end.
“Wah, aren’t you a handsome little prince,” Jing Yuan had almost giggled, his voice a pitch higher than Dan Heng was used to, as he cooed at him. “Did I scare you?”

Summary

Fascinating world-building, keeping you guessing at every beat of the story. Character development is followed through to the tee, and characters are fleshed out from scar to marrow. Binged in like 4-5 days, and really could not put it down and stop listening (screenreader) as, during your first read, you would not want to put this shit down lmfao
