“Lumine, wait! Please!” The Eremite girl screams desperately, but the rumbling blasts of hot desert air carry her voice away. She grabs Benben to keep it from getting lost in the blinding sands and pulls it along, stumbling as she charges forward, hand outstretched toward the Traveler. Lumine touches the statue as Jeht feels the fine fabric of her scarf slip between her fingers. The statue’s light flashes the very moment Jeht’s hand clamps on her shoulder, and then there is nothing.
OR
An AU where Jeht joins Lumine in her journey after the incident with the Tanit, because both of them deserve better. Spoilers for everything version 3.4 and later (eventually)!
