Before she would ever make her way to Eorzea, decades before she fought eikons and brought grand enemies to their knees, Mavre was a simple viera woman doing her best in a world she was still trying to make heads and tails of. As many of the time would know, Viera are often sought after for their rarity in the city as dinner dates or the like. So this too would be true for Mavre and it has afforded her many opportunities to spy on the Garlean Empire, for better or for worse. This time was for worse.

Before the eikons, before the wars, before the imperial campaign, Mavre was a daughter of Golmore Jungle, soon to be the head of Dei-Ijla village. For 50 years she dedicated herself to its protection only to discover that it was hiding her from the world outside. She made a decision but such a decision would leave her without a home, a culture. No, she would no longer be called a "true" viera from this point onward.
She has words with her mother before she leaves.
