“How did you know you liked girls?”
Pierre’s head swivels and she gapes at Charles, who is looking at Pierre with wide, green eyes and flushed cheeks. Her chest is heaving with her probable nerves and Pierre has to snap her sight away so she doesn’t get distracted by the alluring sight of her cleavage and hard nipples.
“What?” Pierre asks dazedly.
Charles leans forward, her long pretty brunette curls falling over her shoulders. Pierre has an urge to reach out and tuck the soft hair behind her ears. She stays still though, waiting for Charles always.
“How did you know you liked girls?” She repeats, her voice clearer and slower, but still so strained and nervous sounding.

Summary
So Charles turns again, determined to not stare directly at Max’s chest, only to be surprised at someone already being there, blocking Charles’ view.
It’s a man, dressed in a basic tuxedo, and Charles could shrug him off as some random team member or even a server if it weren’t for how Max takes his arm and loops her own into hers when he hands her a glass. Charles's heart is already sinking, but then it truly falls when the man whispers something in her ear, and she full-on laughs, leaning back and closing her eyes as she always does when she hears something particularly funny.
