    Nakamura and Matsumura's relationship was nothing if not rocky, especially with the circumstances in how they first met; fighting over their crush, Hirose.

    Though things turn pitiful when the two caught wind of Hirose finding a girlfriend.

    From there on, they were two people with unsteady feet on shaky ground. Never being able to truly accept the bitter reality of their unrequited feelings. Perhaps the universe decided to pity them both, somehow making Nakamura and Matsumura meet on that faithful night when he was desperately crying on his bicycle up on a hill he barely remembers ever visiting in the past.

    Things happen, complicated things. A lot of crying and even a lot more talking, maybe even comfort.
    Somehow leading to Matsumura staying over at Nakamura's house for the night, sleeping on the bed with Nakamura.

     

    When Nakamura opened his eyes in the early morning, he finds himself pressed up against Matsumura's bare chest, an arm curled over his waist and a warmth that was way too invasive for it to be unintentional. Making him open his heavy lidded eyes in horror.

    "Are you going to the party?" 

     "H..huh?" Nakamura stuttered, groggily rubbing his eyes as he sat up. He now noticed Hirose staring patiently at him, along with a couple of his classmates at the door. 

     "It's Takeuchi's birthday today, we're all going over to his house to celebrate. Wanna come?"  Nakamura snapped up in his seat and nodded quickly.

     "Of course! Let me grab my things, sorry." He laughed shyly, trying to conceal the nervousness inside of him. 

    His first party, and with Hirose? He could barely contain himself. 

    They had made their way to the school gates when suddenly Hirose stopped walking. He looked a little shocked, and broke off from the crowd to go run over to something, or someone. 

     

    Nakamura squinted, leaning past his classmates to see what and - was that Matsumura? 

     

    or...

     

    When Kawamura dared Nakamura to play spin the bottle during Takeuchi's birthday party, he thought it would be his lucky day. That idea was quickly squashed when instead of Hirose, the bottle landed squarely infront of Matsumura.

    If there's one thing Nakamura prides himself on, it's in being Hirose's #1 fan. For the half a year they've known each other, he's taken solace in the fact there is no on else even half as interested in the boy as him.

    Then he meets Matsumura Kōsei—a boy who apparently is Hirose's friend from junior high. Nakamura finds out he's a shameless, perverted creep; a sick freak even bigger than him. They find themselves fighting for the honor of hanging with Hirose, all while having to act like they're buddy-buddy.

    And eventually, with time, it stops being only an act, but rather grows into something more genuine.

    Summary

    After a long day out at the mall, with his rival no less, something starts to stir in Matsumura. Something warm and sickenly sweet. Something he should only feel with Hirose. Something he shouldn't feel with someone so opposite from his object of adoration.

    The logical thing, of course, is to ignore this something. It was simply a case of momentary insanity after spending time with Nakamura and not seeing Hirose for a while. But the something doesn't want to go away, no matter what Matsumura may want.

    The only problem was, even if he harbored these new feelings, they were doomed to fail from the get go. Even if he were to try and act on them, the ending was already clear.

    Should he still try and fight for it?
