Amber stands at the front gates of Mondstadt.
The sun has long set, the last of its fading rays vanishing sleepily beneath the dark blanket of the horizon. On any other day, Amber would have sat atop one of the windmill towers and enjoyed the last of the brilliant colours in the sky, but today, she was in no mood to enjoy such beauty.
Lumine had agreed to come celebrate her birthday with her. But that had been many months ago and Lumine is off doing great and wonderful things. Long after the party at the Good Hunter had wound down, there had still been no trace of Lumine. Another thought strikes Amber. What if something had happened to Lumine?
What if Lumine had forgotten?

Summary
As summer draws to a close, Amber and Lumine decide to go on one last road trip adventure together.
Amber has never been to Liyue before, so it's a grand opportunity to go see some of the sights and experience some of the wonders that her grandfather had spoken so fondly of. Not to mention Lumine would be moving to Liyue in the fall to start that fancy new job she got with the Qixing. She hasn't said anything about it yet, Amber understands it might be a difficult thing to bring up. So instead, she suggests going on this trip. It would be a final hurrah for the two of them, a celebration of sorts before they would inevitably have to part.
She would really miss Lumine.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, Lumine is not getting a new job in Liyue. There is no place else in this world that she would rather be than with Amber. Of course, with a romantic trip like this planned out, Lumine knows Amber has clearly made plans to propose — now if only Amber would stop dropping to one knee every where they went to pick things up that she dropped.

That is her name. Someone left this here for her. Someone left a container with her name on it, on a planet that's dying under the weight of its own blizzards; a planet that Himeko has never seen before in her life.

Inevitable, beyond the mere concept of inevitability. Kafka had been one of the best before she retired at a mere twenty-five, and it had been sheer talent that propelled her there. Even back then, Himeko had known—Kafka was a storyteller, and not even five years of retirement could snuff out that flame.
It’s an issue. A big one.
Because if Kafka gets this role, then the ghost becomes flesh. The phantom gets a call sheet, a trailer, a wardrobe rack, and three months of shared scenes and early mornings and Yao Guang’s terrifyingly intimate notes on eye contact. If Kafka gets this role, Himeko will have to stand across from her every single day and pretend that the last five years did not leave a strange little bruise somewhere beneath her ribs.
or, they're actresses, Kafka reemerges after five years of radio silence, and Himeko wonders what the hell she did to deserve this.
