She’d told them she was eighteen and had given them an ID to prove it. Hell, they’d even ran it against the government’s databases and confirmed it. How could they have known that little Rosie just so happened to look eerily similar to her big sister, Veronica? How could they have known that she had snuck into Ronnie’s room, taken her driver’s license, and given it to them, passing it off as her own? Rosie, and yes she was just a tiny little thing, was still in high school, and not even close to graduating yet. She was a sophomore, just turned sixteen last month, and stubborn to boot.
