Gregory laughed. “I like it,” he said. “You’re a looker in every universe, Mycroft Holmes.”
It was the sort of thing Gregory might have said in his own time, and it sent a spark of annoyance through Mycroft. Then, self-pity; it occurred to him that he might never see the version of Gregory—indeed, the world—he knew again. He wanted to be angry, but he was just tired. “Please don’t say that,” he said.
“Why not? It’s true.”
“I am not my brother,” Mycroft said. “I do not believe in hearing the truth to the exclusion of all else. Or what you believe to be true.”

Summary
A cute little AU winter story inspired by Christmas music where Leon and Count D end up snowed in together in a cabin deep in the woods. Basically diverges in volume 10, so Chris returns home but the FBI never shows up and Count D doesn’t leave LA.
Fingers crossed for the final chapter to be up by the end of March. I thought it would be sooner, but life has been happening and it (largely) hasn’t been fun. I’m so excited to finally feel up to working on this again and wanted to give an update for anyone waiting for the rest of it.
