Danny returns to school after having a near death experience at the hands of Dash pushing him into the water, and leaving him for dead. Danny didn't die, not fully at least, but some part of his humanity was left behind, he fears.
He wants nothing to do with Dash, not even to tell anyone that he was the one responsible for his near-death. If only Dash got the message and left him alone in turn.
