Summary
Madrid was supposed to be a beginning.
Itoshi Rin arrives at Re Al at eighteen, barely knowing the language, with nowhere to stay after his brother shuts the door in his face in front of everyone. Kaiser is there too — twenty, sharp-edged, impossible to ignore. They are not friends. They are just two people equally lost in the same city, close enough to orbit each other by necessity.
Leonardo Luna watches them both and says nothing useful.
It takes time — the camping trips, the borrowed silences, the small quiet ways Rin takes care of people without ever admitting to it — before any of them become something to each other.
Then something starts going wrong with Rin. Slowly. Then all at once.
