Michael stepped closer to Will, until he was nearly pressed against his side. He looked at him, head tilted down to meet his gaze. His boots made him taller, making the height difference he and Mike shared even more pronounced. Will shivered when he felt a hand press against his lower back.
“My choices are yours, my prince. If you would like me to distance myself, I will do so without hesitation. Would you like that?”
Will stared, mouth agape. Michael’s eyes were boring into his soul. Mike had never looked at him like that, and it was doing things to him. Slowly, he shook his head.
Michael smirked, looking pleased.
“Hey,” Mike snapped. “I said back off, okay?”When an alternate version of Mike, a strong, confident knight, appears in Hawkins, the Party attempts to help him get home, and Will attempts to survive his flirting.

“Hm, I wonder why Wheeler is acting so strange today?” Max questioned, looking smug.
“Shut up, Maxine.” Mike seethed beside Will, looking at the redhead with pure hatred.
If Will was honest, he didn’t fully understand what was going on in this situation. By the knowing smirks and smiles it looked like everyone else caught onto something he must’ve missed. Or maybe Mike let them in on something that Will wasn’t a part of. He hoped it wasn’t the second one.
“Maybe Will knows why?” Dustin asked.
“Huh?” Will said, “Know what?”
“Nothing. Don’t listen to them.” Mike rushed to say.

“Shut up,” Mike mutters, and Will’s smile grows. “You– I’m just nervous!”
It should be illegal for someone to look this pleased with themselves. “Yeah?” Will says quietly, index finger still hovering at the corner of Mike’s mouth, thumb pressed gently under his chin. “I make you nervous?”
Mike thinks Will might be psychic. (Kind of.) Will is being very irritatingly vague about the whole thing.
