It's funny how Nick hadn't really noticed before, how it'd felt for so long like he'd had shadows; little clumps of gloominess, nestled in the folds of his life. Tucked away, hidden. In the creases of his rugby uniform and the pockets of his rucksack and throughout the camera roll on his phone. Little clusters of...of something, something Big and Bad and Shameful that needed to stay secret.
It seems insane not to have to hide them anymore. To sweep them out and let them be.
It feels like sunshine.

Summary
"He’s married. It actually happened. Nick is married. To Charlie. Who is both an absolute menace and the best thing that’s ever happened to him, all rolled into one. Running through their group of friends towards the vintage Rolls Royce limousine they hired feels surreal. Charlie’s hand in his, everyone laughing and shouting congratulations at them.
Then, Darcy’s voice, the loudest of all: “Go consummate that marriage!”
Charlie gives him a smirk and a quick double-hand-squeeze that surely means ‘we are so going to consummate this marriage’ and suddenly Nick cannot get into the car fast enough."
Our favorite sappy, simpy, horny Nick Nelson finally gets Charlie alone on their wedding night, after Charlie has spent all day flustering him with sexy photos. Spoiler alert: they have sex.
