Summary
Once a month at S they change it up a bit and have a karaoke night. It might seem strange for a bunch of skaters to have a karaoke night, but it’s just another, more low-key way to let loose. These nights also serve as a break from the nightly beefs; a much needed way to let off steam. This tradition stretches back to the beginning of S, when it wasn’t as organized and they were still naive high schoolers. Kojiro remembers when Adam and Cherry first came up with the idea, when S was smaller and it hadn’t yet had a life of its own…and when Adam hadn’t yet betrayed them. Karaoke night was always one of Joe’s favorites, as it was just another reason to flex and show off.
Now usually, Kojiro would sing something that would endear him to his fans, ‘Hey, a little fanservice never hurt anyone’, but tonight he was out for blood. This was the first karaoke night since Adam was back, the first karaoke night since Adam brutally injured his best friend. Adam’s assault on Cherry was the last straw. Kojiro was willing to give him another chance for Cherry’s sake, but no more. Kojiro could no longer give Adam the benefit of the doubt. Kaoru was his best friend, and he couldn’t just sit back and watch Cherry wilt under Adam’s abuse.

Summary
The feeling of ascending for the third time is familiar.
