Summary
“I love Tavitha,” Gale went on. “More than anything. And I know she loves me.” A pause. “But I also know… she doesn’t sound the way she did with you.”
Astarion blinked. Then, a smirk, crooked and knowing. “Ah. I see.”
“You pleased her. In ways I haven’t. And I want to learn. I’m a scholar,” Gale said. “I’ve spent my life in pursuit of knowledge. Why should this be any different?”
“You want me to teach you how to fuck your girlfriend,” Astarion said flatly.
“To please her,” Gale corrected. “To understand her. If that means watching you two… then yes. Teach me.”

Summary
Only: rebuilding a shattered Karsite relic — with nothing but the ciphered notes of an ancient Ur-Mage, a bomb with renewed hunger in his chest and a thoroughly disappointed tressym who refused to have anything to do with any of it — hasn’t proved exactly fruitful. Which is why Gale mostly spends his time in his darkened study, trying to spin together the frayed remains of forgotten magic into something that might resemble a fraction of the power he once had.
“It’s complicated,” Gale says to Astarion, at length.
“Oh, I’m sure,” Astarion says. “Must be terribly tricky, dealing with all those arcane powers beyond my comprehension. In your three-week-old pyjamas that smell of vinegar.”

Summary
Desire has always been better off in someone else's hands. It's too human for Gale's taste; too messy and too inadequate compared to all that it could be (or should be). The Blade of Frontiers knew, once, what should be—but Wyll, as he is, finds that knowledge slipping away until all that is left is his own daydreams. And what could those be worth?
But, by fortune's favor, they know they want each other. The cards are in their hands, there are layers left to shed... and when their thoughts are so loud, their uninvited guests are sure to contribute.
