    After the events of It Takes a Village, Shane must navigate how to move forward in his career when the team he has grown to love ultimately sets a ceiling on his growth.     This is a sequel to It Takes a Village and will not make sense without having read that work first. If you haven't read it yet, please do! For those who have read and enjoyed ITAV, I hope this sequel does it justice <3

When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.
