There's one part in this fic that caused a visceral reaction, which left me in such state for a while.
This story is slow, it will eats you up, it takes a lot of understanding and forgiveness and bravery to get to where Polin eventually arrive at.

Penelope glanced at the table, where the brochure lay forgotten, the words “Mayfair Fertility Clinic and Sperm Bank” sprawled in elegant typeface across the front, as though it were a fine dining menu and not an institution where men jerked off into cups.

It does not have to mean anything.
Still, Colin had hesitated. Not because of her, but for her. To ensure she understood the gravity of her ask. To allow her a respite to withdraw it if she wished to do so. But Penelope had not relented, instead murmuring his name and a desperate please that made him weak and ready to surrender to her.
And since he is Colin and she is Penelope, and he would do almost anything for her, he did as she asked.
They kissed, just the gentlest brush of their mouths moving together, and—
After the events of 3x02, Penelope vanishes, Colin falls apart, and a series of very different events are put into motion.

An interesting point of canon divergence, which took us to a long journey of patience and growing one's root far away from everything familiar. This particular Polin slow burn worth the looooooooong walk and the growing and shrinking distance between Colin and Penelope.
I cried many weeks with each update of this fic. Worth every tears. Except my tear stains wet my pillow case and not a [redacted spoiler].
