Henry stared at Ralph’s guitar, he loved how it looked. Its colour glistened perfectly in the poor lit fort, Ralph strummed it gracefully and Henry couldn’t help but pucker up a smile on his face.
Purple was his favourite colour, he had named it after his gang afterall. And there was Ralph, playing with a purple guitar. Probably the two things he loved most in the whole world.
After many years of sharing fond memories as best friends, Henry couldn’t have felt more appreciative towards him. How Ralph was always there, whether to play with him, walk with him, or listen to him, he was the one friend that was there for it all.
And when Ralph gifts something to Henry, he realises something. That maybe.. it wasn’t love for a best friend, but something much more.

Old wounds reopen, scars becoming new cuts, and the blonde boy realises that he hadn’t actually gotten better. Things happen, and he’s left back in the same state he was in highschool.
His best friend sees this, and tries to ask, but Chester just doesn't break what’s on his mind. Because sometimes, things are better left not said.
But he just couldn’t handle the urges he had to tell Parker. So he did. And more than just saying what was wrong with himself, but with Parker.
