Summary
Steve brought Bucky back to the tower. They used his POW status to get him declared not guilty of any of the Winter Soldier's crimes. Everything was supposed to be smooth sailing from there.
But it wasn't.
Bucky won't eat. Won't willingly sleep. Won't interact with anyone except to demand to be returned to his handler.
Finally, in desperation, Steve reaches out to the only handler left alive, Brock Rumlow, who would much prefer to stay in the tower and take care of his Soldier rather than go to prison.
If only Sam Wilson would get out of his way and let him.

Hesitating slightly at the doorway, he still contemplates just turning around and leaving. Roach is likely already settled into a well-appointed stall, but she would forgive him for dragging her away from such posh accommodations in a few weeks, surely. The lordling he’s meant to be here for would likely be cross at this breach of contract, but he thinks with no small amount of dark humor that it’s not as if his reputation can be dragged that much lower.
For a man already called Butcher, how worse could his day to day life get from the blue balled frustration of some viscount of a tiny coastal town?
He squares his shoulders after he considers the question, knowing already that the answer is “much fucking worse.”
(for lack of contracts and want of coin, Geralt takes a job as a bed warmer for a lord) (this ends up being MUCH more literal than anticipated)

Summary
Jaskier is immortal, regenerating after death seemingly regardless of how it happens. Geralt is a desperate man who turned to necrophilia long ago to get the physical comfort he very rarely gets from the living. Usually it causes no issue except his own shame, because corpses don’t usually wake up and complain like this one does.
Bluntly: Geralt is using Jaskier’s corpse to get off and Jaskier comes back to life in the middle. What follows this bizarre, horrible meet cute cannot be described as your typical love story nor perhaps a particularly morally good one.
Note about the Rape/Non-Con tag: Rape, non-consent, and sexual assault are major, active themes in this story and sometimes characters attempt to justify their bad behaviors.
