Mapicc shouts and swears, furiously accusing with sharp hurt in his voice. He’s accused Spoke of so much wrong that rings true, but it tears something up in him that his friend thinks he did this too. This is one sin he did not commit, could never commit, he could never doom Mapicc to the hands of Null.
But they’re here all the same. Their blows rain down as Mapicc falls and Spoke cries out, hating everything but hating most that he doesn’t know if they’ll first break Mapicc’s armor or his body.

"Uh…Flux?”
"Oh my god, I think you broke him," Thomas says.

That is how long it takes for one's body to seize up, for darkness for overtake one's vision, for the chunkban to work it's horrible magic. Wifies knows this. He has read about it in books, has scanned every page, sees the words in his mind eye as he eyes the red line near the wall, painted and unassuming.
