Summary
Paul es un joven Arconte de Atenas, inteligente y meticuloso, pero limitado por la presión de su familia y su cargo, lo que lo vuelve cerrado aunque en el fondo siente curiosidad por lo desconocido.
John, en cambio, es un espartano rebelde, sincero e inteligente, que vive bajo la presión del prestigio de su familia en una sociedad que valora más la fuerza que el pensamiento, por lo que suele ser subestimado.
Durante las fiestas Dionisias, ocurre un asesinato en Atenas y John quien se encontraba en la escena, es acusado. Paul queda a cargo del caso y debe demostrar su culpabilidad o inocencia en poco tiempo para evitar un conflicto entre Atenas y Esparta.
