Summary
After defeating Vecna, Eddie settles into life surrounded by suspicion and judgement. The government agents who covered up the Vecna Event, even intimated that they'll be able to give the Munson some compensation for their troubles. A very large part of him had been relieved that the explosions hadn’t taken Carl out. He doesn’t know if he’d be able to forgive himself for kicking the bucket out from under one of the most interesting people left on this snoozefest of a planet. A much smaller part was aware that the attachment he felt was a liability, and things would have been a lot more simple if Carl was dead. He probably wouldn’t be putzing around a dingy cell carved out of one of the two-story houses in Alexandria, taking meals from the people whose mattresses he burned out of spite.
