“You… look…” Kaeya presses a hand to his mouth, like he’s going to be sick. “Great.”
Diluc moves to him, the skirts rustling unexpectedly loud around his legs, and touches Kaeya’s arm. “The plan’ll work,” he reassures him softly. Kaeya leans towards him, dropping his hand to reveal his parted lips, flushed from the bite of his teeth. Diluc is distracted by the sight, forgets what else he meant to say.
He feels Kaeya’s arm flex under his touch, even through the fabric of his coat. He’s staring at Diluc in a way that’s difficult to decipher, something almost between fear and disbelief. Diluc’s not sure he’s ever seen this look on Kaeya’s face before. He thinks he likes it.
