    “I don’t buy it,” Pete retorts. “Someone like you? Some cook from East Blue? You’re probably worth a couple hundred thousand bellies at best, maybe a million, if your captain’s somebody.”

    Sanji tilts his head back so that it rests against the dirty wall behind him. He’s still upright, somehow, through sheer stubbornness or spite. He doesn’t look like someone who only has tonight left to live.

    In fact, he looks sharp. There’s no better word for it. His expression is still as peaceable as it has been since he arrived, but watching him is like watching a knife slide out of its sheath. He is, abruptly, dangerous. A tool made for cutting.

    “If you knew where I’ve been, you would be terrified of me,” he says.

    It had occurred to him at some point after they had left Wano Kuni that the Vinsmokes must have passed through nearby waters, since Whole Cake Island had been so close.

    Which was why, when the Strawhats docked at the first island they spotted after leaving Wano, Sanji was so nervous he almost considered staying on the ship while the rest of the crew explored the town.

    The Strawhats make their first stop after Wano, and begin to understand that the Vinsmoke name isn’t so easily left behind.

    It really was an accident. Sanji swears. He didn't do this to Zoro on purpose. But the damn marimo has no respect for women. And Sanji didn't know he was holding a magic, wish granting stone. So, when he yelled “I wish someone would would have taught you some manners as a kid, you shitty kelp head”, he hadn’t expected anything to happen. Certainly not Zoro to keel over and disappear inside his own clothing.

     

     

    Or

    Zoro is suddenly four and Sanji finds they have a lot more in common than he ever dreamed.

    Right at Chopper, who was napping on the floor in his Walk Point.

    “You might wanna keep your pet at home,” lumberjack guy suggested helpfully, with a shrug. “It’s hunting season on the island, and anything furry is fair game. If he's walkin' around without y'all, he's ours, y'hear?"

    The locals have some advice for Sanji and the Strawhats, regarding their doctor.

    Sanji doesn't appreciate it. Not at all.
