Hi friends,
I've got another one for you. This is a dark fantasy romance based on folklore and fairy tales, primarily Slavic to start but expanding worldwide because I started running out of ideas.
The Last Daughter of the Wood follows Alisa (Alisaveta) as she is pronounced a witch in her home village and is chased into the Deep Wood. There, she comes across all sorts of horrors that catch and lock her up. Thank the gods there are hunters coming, who are definitely not going to rescue her just to sell her into slavery. That wouldn't be very fairytale of me.
The age gap is 9 years, nothing crazy. Everyone is an adult 28+ once the story gets going.
This is a true slow-burn; prepare for that. Yes, it does get filthy when it gets there. Yes, you will probably hate me a lot. Yes, there are tropes you probably hate, but I ask that you trust the author to deliver. Any trope has the potential to be done well.
Disclaimer: You might find that this story is very similar to another work that was published and has since been taken down. Although it is under a different pen name, I own both the copyrighted works. This is a major rewrite with a lot of new content. About 450k words.
