Sunny? Sanji racked his brain, searching desperately for something to connect with that name. Slowly, through the haze, he caught glimpses of grass, a homey kitchen and tangerine trees. He could picture sails and a grinning flag with a straw hat. Could hear the trill of a violin, bubbling laughter and swords being sharpened and polished. Could smell sweet perfume, meat and ocean. A ship. Sunny.
“Home…” he whispered.

Across the crowded room, Roronoa Zoro lifted a sun-faded, wide-brimmed leather hat off his head and looked up to meet Sanji’s gaze for the first time in seven years. “Hey, cook,” he said.
Sanji calmly reached beneath the bar and hefted a shot glass into his hand, tossing it straight up and catching it in his palm to test the weight. Then he wound up and flung it unceremoniously at Zoro’s traitorous skull.

“Tell him what?” Usopp asked, eyes flicking nervously toward the windows. “That we’re already standing in front of his house like a bunch of stalkers?”
“He’ll bolt,” Zoro muttered, voice flat. “You know he will.”
And they couldn’t keep pretending not to see it.
So they swallowed the guilt, the doubt, the fear of being unwelcome.
They chose to knock. And they pray.
