“This is ridiculous!” he complains to Catarina, who is sitting in his comfiest armchair with a glass of cold Riesling in one hand and a Leonidas in the other. She takes a bite of the chocolate and hums in enjoyment.
“These are sinfully delicious,” she says, licking her lips.
Magnus glares at her. “Have you heard anything I have said?”
Catarina raises an eyebrow and pops the rest of the chocolate into her mouth. She makes Magnus wait while she finishes the delicacy. “You know you are lucky to have a soulmate at all. A few strange items appearing now and then shouldn’t really be that tiresome.”
