"Why you make it so complicated?"
Osamu has been his ride-or-die since Freshman year. They met under the bleachers while they were both skipping classes, and have been inseparable ever since. Osamu would accompany him on his runs, bring over snacks whenever he got the munchies, massage his sore muscles after volleyball practice, and whenever he needed a shoulder to cry on he was right there. The crying on the shoulder though had seemed to be the interactions that have been happening the most.
He would do anything just to see the brunette smile. He loved it dearly since he didn’t do it much. They had their first blunt, drink, and kiss (long story) together. He wouldn't want it any other way.
Or, Rintaro finds his best way to clear his mind is to be near Osamu, and Osamu is hopelessly whipped for Rintaro

"Shikamaru took the opportunity to look at him up close and pay more attention to what he was wearing. Those tight black jeans made his thighs look thicker and his ass look more perky. Or maybe his ass was just naturally that round and perky—Shikamaru couldn’t say for sure, since every time he tried to grab it, Neji basically ran away. He was also wearing a white button-up shirt, and someone had spilled something on him, because the fabric was slightly see-through and let one of his nipples show when the light hit just right. His long hair was loose, moving with the breeze and spreading the scent of conditioner through the air. Shikamaru took a long drag from his cigarette.
God, if this guy wasn’t made to drive Shikamaru crazy, then why was he everything Shikamaru was attracted to in a man? Was he being punished for something? Had he done something to deserve this? Why, God, why give him this battle?"
(After a series of wrong and poorly planned choices, Shikamaru gets himself into a mess he’d die to never get out of.)

Summary
Shikamaru opens the door in a pair of low-slung sweatpants and a loose, faded t-shirt and Ino thinks that her life is turning into one big joke. And a rather distasteful one at that, if she’s allowed any input. Shikamaru’s standing there, one arm braced on the doorjamb above his head, leaning against the frame of the house so that she can see a slash of toned, tanned stomach from where his shirt’s riding up, and Ino thinks she might strangle something. Maybe whatever god’s decided to turn her life into their personal sitcom. Maybe Shikamaru.
_____________'Casual' and 'uncomplicated' sounded good to Ino when Shikamaru suggested it. And, if she's honest, her feelings are still relatively uncomplicated - just in a different way then Shikamaru meant, and decidedly opposite of 'casual'.
