Summary
“Why me?” He made no attempt to hide the exasperation from his voice.
“A question I’m sure you’ve asked yourself many times, at least when it comes to Arthur.” The look Hosea gave him was too heavy and knowledgeable, oppressive as this goddamned air. Charles gave no response. “In any case, I know that boy has a talent for finding himself stuck in colorful situations, to say the least. I can’t trust someone like Bill or John to go after him without making things worse for us all. I need someone with some sense.”
“Some sense,” Charles replied flatly. He wondered how much sense Hosea would attribute to him if he knew how foolish he’d been more or less any time he was alone in a space with Arthur Morgan. Hosea only nodded encouragingly.
“I know he listens to you, respects you. If you told him it’s time to come back I’m certain he’d return.” Hosea leaned a little closer, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial hush. “And if he has a black eye and some bruised ribs it won’t be the worst thing that happens to him.”
Charles is asked to retrieve Arthur from whatever sorry corner of Saint Denis he's found himself in, and after a drunken fight, he starts to see the cowboy differently.

Summary
When V plays her game, she prowls bars and clubs looking for fresh meat to submit to her every whim. All of Night City is her hunting ground. On this night, she meets a distractingly attractive cop and her life starts to shift to orbit him. Soon enough, they uncover another predator hunting in the city and make it their mission to stop him.
This fic has some canon events and retells others in a non-canon way. It also follows a brand new storyline that sees River and V team up to solve a crucial missing person's case and do their best to take down an up-and-coming drug ring wreaking havoc across Night City's murky underbelly. Look forward to heaps of pining, yearning, smut, and thrills as events progress.

Summary
“Stay with me tonight. Don’t leave me alone, in this awful room in this hideous getup. C’mon.”
“I told you,” Charles said, smiling, helpless, “it’s not hideous, it suits you. You look good.” This time it was Charles who leaned in to initiate the kiss, feeling Arthur’s lips curling up against his own.
“Hmm, how good?” Arthur murmured when they parted, not even giving Charles a chance to respond before indulging in more deep kissing.
“Good enough,” Charles smirked, eyes rolling, already knowing what Arthur was going to say next.
“Good enough for what, sugar? You gonna let me treat you right? You gonna give me what I need?” He kissed along Charles’ jaw, bringing a hand up to gently extricate the hair blocking his path to Charles’ ear, where he nibbled and grumbled his last threat. “Or am I gonna have to take it?”
Charles tells himself he's going to leave Arthur, the gang, and this whole mess behind him. And then he sees Arthur in a tuxedo.

Summary
“See somethin’ you like, angel?” he drawled, new shirt left hanging open on his broad shoulders.
“Arthur-”
“Mister Smith, I mean to say,” Arthur corrected himself, palms up and out in surrender as he continued chuckling like the evil, bad, evil man he was. Charles let himself get close enough for a quick slap to Arthur’s arm with the back of his hand.
“I’ve told you-”
“Not in camp, I know, I know,” Arthur defended, his smile falling to something more serious as he took a moment to look at Charles properly, eye-to-eye. “I’m sorry, just hard sometimes when I’ve been gone and you look so…”
“So?” Charles asked, arms crossed on his chest and doing his best to look fed up with Arthur, regardless of how far it felt from the truth.
“Sorry, I can’t tell you in camp. Against the rules,” he said mockingly, his cocky grin returning.

Summary
These events were all the same, after a fashion. Some lord or lady had a reason to celebrate and spend lots of money - perhaps their son was engaged, perhaps they’d made a fortuitous trading partnership, perhaps it was a Tuesday - and so naturally every noble man and woman from miles around was invited to the festivities. Balor loved it.
At this particular event, a masquerade ball no less, Balor finds himself entranced with a very unique noblewoman. Perhaps he'll find something more than trading contacts tonight?

CanadianShack!AU, basically. Arthur gets shot while taking Eagle Flies back to his father following the attack on the Cornwall refinery, and ends up leaving with Charles for Canada. Summary
An ex-cop with a family to repair meets an ex-corpo with demons and a death sentence. Two paths, diverging and converging. Two broken chords, ascending and descending, chasing each other through the hook into a strange and beautiful chorus. Their song could be an anthem or a tragic requiem, but we won’t know which it is until the final notes have played.
The grisly work at Edgewood is finished, but V and River aren’t done with each other just yet.
