    Summary

”Gustave lights a lamp in the kitchen, rolls up his sleeves and starts making dinner.

He does it, step by step, follows the old family recipe even though he’s exhausted to the very bone-marrow, even though his muscles are sore and the lethargy drags him towards the floor boards like a lead weight.”

In which Gustave makes food, Verso keeps showing up and they slowly start healing together.

Or; five times Gustave cooks something and one time it's Verso's turn.

    Summary

Verso could use a fake boyfriend to get his mother off his back.
    Sciel introduces Gustave.
They agree on a mutually beneficial arrangement.

It's supposed to be simple—hold hands, attend events together, survive his family, and be convincing enough.

    They're pretending.
They're somehow excellent at pretending—and also terrible at it.
They promise to keep things simple.
Then immediately do the emotional equivalent of lighting the rulebook on fire.

Somewhere between "practice," an ungodly late night phone call, and the catastrophic one‑bed situation, the line between fake and real quietly packs its bags and leaves.

    Summary

Modern AU - by Gustave’s definition, he is most certainly not a virgin, (frottage to the point of mutual completion back in his high school days) but that definition just isn’t doing it anymore at 32, so he goes to a bar for a hookup just to get rid of all of his fucking nerves about the whole thing, not even expecting it to be a good time.

Cue in Verso, who just goes home with Gustave expecting a quick one night stand - only to once he finds out about how Gustave’s never had real sex before, to show him just how good it can be, over multiple hookups, slowly but surely falling completely for him and stopping his fuck-boi tendencies

    Summary

The Pride & Prejudice AU you didn't know you needed // Arranged marriage to love // Slow burn

"Why?" Verso asked, his pale eyes fixed on Gustave's face with unsettling intensity.
    "Why sacrifice yourself for her?"
The question caught Gustave off guard. He opened his mouth, closed it again, searching for the right words.
"Because she is my sister," he said simply. "And I would do anything for her."

In Belle Époque France, an old promise binds two families. When the promised bride refuses, her brother steps forward instead — binding himself to a man shaped by pride and expectation.

Gustave Virlogeux is practical, dependable, and entirely unremarkable — or so he has always believed. Verso Dessendre is composed, untouchable, and dangerously perceptive.
Their engagement is duty. Their courtship is stolen glances, careful distance, and the maddening warmth of a hand that lingers a moment too long.

But what begins as obligation unfolds into a slow reckoning with everything they cannot say — until what was never supposed to be real becomes the only thing that is.
