Summary
Toshinori reaches a hand, the one that is shattered beyond repair and drenched in blood. He gives a smile to the boy. He can feel blood smeared across his teeth. He can't imagine his smile is any reassurance, but Toshinori is dying and desperate. A piss-poor smile is all he can give.
A piss-poor smile, and an earth-shattering quirk.
'I have a healing quirk,' he lies, begging the boy with his eyes. Please, say yes. Please accept my DNA. 'It only works on others. Let me h-help you? I won't last.' Toshinori's words come more and more haltingly. He can feel cold darkness encroaching on his limbs already. He tilts his hand, just slightly, just enough to renew his offer to the boy. 'At-At least… Not long enough… For help to arrive in time.'

Yagi Toshinori gets caught in a building collapse in his powered-down form. As he lays dying and without a successor, he offers his quirk to a young boy who is trapped alongside him.
All Might never makes it out of the building. But Midoriya Izuku does.
With no parent and a new limb-breaking quirk, he becomes a ward of UA.

In which Shouto is hit with a de-aging quirk and Enji attempts to give Shouto's younger self the love and care he deserved to have when growing up. Meanwhile, Shouto interacts with the rest of his family, leading to some important realizations for every member of the Todoroki family, bringing them just a step closer to each other than before.

“Heya kiddos! Everything’s fine! Uravity’ll have those other punks in no time!” She must be walking towards them, but the girl clings even harder and bangs into his nose.
“But, uhh...” She stops right beside them, and in his peripheral vision he sees her bend over, “You see the green guy anywhere? It’s not like him to disappear!”
The woman sounds worried. Izuku peels back the kid's fingers and pushes her back slowly. She sniffles but allows herself to be tucked under his right arm.
“No, sorry, I’ve only seen her,” he says, turning to the hero.
She looks like she’s seen a ghost, black and gold eyes huge, mouth parted, the pink of her face pale.
“Midoriya?” She chokes, raising a hand by his face. Izuku flinches back, frowning.
“Yes? How did you—”
“Oh my god, you’re tiny!” She shrieks, squishing his cheeks.
Scratch that, this is the most confused Izuku has ever been.

The tears Izuku managed to hold back earlier fill his eyes again, and he bites hard at his lip. He’s seven now; he has to be brave. “I’m okay,” he says softly. “Th-thank you for saving me.”
Those strange, dark eyes soften a little. “It’s my job,” he says simply.
Still. Izuku never got to thank him, the first time.
Izuku gets hit by a quirk that de-ages him to seven years old, and relearns what it means to be taken care of.
