““It’s 2010.” They uttered, dazed and with wide eyes. Griefer turned to them with a raised brow. “Y3AH? WHAT AB0UT 1T?” A small smile came upon their face, canines glinting in the light from the flickering bulb above them.

“It’s *2010*.” They murmured, more to themself than anyone else. Their smile quickly grew into a manic grin that engulfed half of their face, and the face of the man next to them shifted to be apprehensive. “PL4YER…” suddenly, they turned on their heel, and sped past Kyoko who turned in shock.

“I’M GOING TO BUY THE WHOLE STORE!”

    “PLAYER NO!”“

    That piece of shit.

Player stared at the unconscious criminal folded like spaghetti on the floor. “Bramble, what if I boiled you. Or steamed you. Air fried you, even.”

    Static started snickering.

The way Bramble’s grin immediately dropped into an ‘oh shit’ would’ve been hilarious if Player wasn’t so busy chasing him out the door. “We had ONE RULE! ONE RULE, JACKASS!”

    Or,

After getting their previous job blown up by villains, Player decides to dip into the life of vigilantism with nothing but a frying pan and a heart full of spite. As they slowly uncover the perpetrators behind all the upstart chaos around Bizville, they learn that there’s more to the problem than just hero-villain grudges and a constant struggle for power.

Maybe involving a god or two. Who would’ve guessed?

    Dear Editor,

On page B5 of the Arts & Culture section, the jazz concert review contains an error. The sixth paragraph, which describes Xiao Xingchen as a “terrorist,” should presumably say “tenorist” instead.

    Sincerely,
    Reader

    Dear discerning reader,

Thank you for reaching out about this matter. In fact, that is not an error; rather, our Arts & Culture writer sincerely believes that being bad at jazz is equivalent to terrorism.

    Helpfully,
    Wei Wuxian
