“Get away from my family!!” Sanemi screamed at it. His mother who was still on all fours leaped on him and Sanemi was taken by surprise. This was clearly not his mother. She was much stronger and athletic than before. Much more animalistic. Sanemi swung the cleaver and it hit her squarely at the side of her jaw getting stuck. “Get out here!” Sanemi ordered his siblings and he didn’t need to say it twice. They all rushed out the door screaming at their neighbors for help but it would be a little while before they actually reached another person’s house. Sanemi had his eyes on Genya. He didn’t know what happened to him but he had to protect him at all costs. He gripped the cleaver tightly and snatched it out of his mother’s jaw. She growled slowly, her body shuddering. Her eyes were filled with so much rage it had rolled to the back of her head. She scampered away quickly, hot on the children’s trails. “Come back here!” Sanemi screamed, going into pursuit. She was fast, insanely fast. He couldn’t imagine what would happen if she reached his siblings before he did but he was seeing it all before him. Sanemi was running as fast as he could, in fact faster than he had ever ran.

The white-haired brute finds comfort in eyes as blue and deep as the ocean and the child finds safety in a teal-eyed misty boy.

Was that what normal people were supposed to do? Tomioka just seemed so 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭, acting like any everyday person would, respecting Iguro, not trying to force-feed him but genuinely looking out for his health and hunger.

Story concept: Obanai meets Tomioka instead of Mitsuri in the Ubuyashiki estate, and his total lack of reaction to Obanai has the same catnip effect, leading to Obanai fixating on Tomioka.

basically i take that and make an entire canon rewrite while having sanegiyuu and obamitsu running in the background, along with some good old giyuu-mitsuri friendship added to the mix. theyre so silly i love them.
