Nicky wanted to talk to his mom. Which was stupid. Incredibly stupid, actually. Because his mom, his mother, wouldn’t exactly be a comfort here.
Even if she was speaking to him she wouldn't understand this weird mess of feelings. Talking about feelings with her at all would be such a shitshow anyway. But to talk about how he was feeling about his teammate who hated him, who hated him for the same reasons she did, would be worse than useless.----
A weird little introspective piece of Nicky coming to terms with his reaction to Seth's death. Nicky contemplates his own reaction to the news and thinks back on his presence in his life and how the homophobia and abuse he's been subjected to since coming out has impacted him.
