"Darling, please," she pleaded with Caroline, bouncing her slightly as her distress escalated, Cassidy's cries following suite. "Oh, Cass—"

    "Excuse me."

A voice called from her side, calm, soothing—and despite the situation, she felt her shoulders drop a fraction.

She turned and was met with the most beautiful woman she's ever seen.

    Summary

“And who is this?” Miranda asked in a snide tone as she looked at Andy. Andy presented Miranda with her resume and introduced herself.

“Andy Sachs ma’am.” Andy said really selling it with that good old midwestern charm.

“No.” Miranda said as she tossed her resume behind her.

“No? I’m more than qualified for the position. How hard can it be to fetch you your coffee and schedule things.” Andy huffed.

“No, as in I have an extremely hard time believing any half sane mother would name their beautiful baby girl Andy.” Miranda said giving Andy déjà vu.

“My birth name is Andrea. But I go by Andy.” Andy explained, and a flicker of something strangely familiar flashed in Miranda’s eyes before she schooled her face into one of disinterest.

    Or

Miranda met Andy in a Bar in 1974, Andy decided Miranda had some growing up to do, so she promised she’d find her again. 32 years later Andy does just that.

    Summary

What if Andrea had listened to her father, and instead of chasing the truth as a journalist, she decided to uncover it as a lawyer?

Miranda Priestly’s life takes an unexpected turn when Richard, her husband, decides to hand her divorce papers. The divorce itself is not what wounds her; Miranda could grant him that freedom without remorse, without tears, and certainly without begging, but when Richard threatens to take custody of their twin daughters, Caroline and Cassidy, claiming that Miranda is an unfit mother who has always chosen Runway over her family, the war becomes personal.

Luckily for them all, Nigel knew who to call...

    Summary

In 2010, a thirty-three-year-old Miranda Priestly took the helm of Runway US during a subscriber tailspin, hiring a smart, defiant Andrea Sachs as her second assistant. Far from the established icons of canon, they were two women finding their footing: one a young mother establishing herself within her new empire, the other a budding journalist, reluctantly learning about fashion and corporate treachery. Their story nearly ended in a different Paris, where a corporate coup, misunderstandings, and heightened emotions pushed them apart.

Fourteen years later, Andrea returns to Runway not as an underling, but as an Executive Director and a single mother with her own formidable reputation. As she uncovers a corporate scheme by Irv Ravitz to replace human creativity with AI-generated predictive models, she realizes that the gravity pulling her back into Miranda’s orbit is inescapable.

    Summary

Andy Sachs spent four years at the Washington Post learning how to take someone's words apart. Another four years at the White House learning how to put them back together so no one could touch them. She knew the anatomy of a scandal, how quickly a narrative could be manufactured, and how much harder it was to dismantle one once it started to feel true.

She should have thought about that before she sat across from the woman who had become the target.
