Nicky blinks placidly, dried blood still spattered on his face. “I have done nothing.”
“You know what you did,” Andy says. “You’re contagious.” She points at Nile. “If you start saying everything happens for a reason, I'm not letting you speak to Nicky anymore. I’m not gonna have two of you giving me lectures about some higher calling.”

Summary
The bathhouse ambush follows the same old script, the same old plot.
He changes it up, just a tad. Rumi holds out her sword to him, both of them circling each other in a dance, and Jinu decides screw it.
He steps forward, she prepares for war, but the tip of her sword touches his chest, right where his heart should be. The sword glows and crackles, reacting to him, pulsing in time with his breath; Rumi’s eyes dart to it then back on Jinu, wide and unsure.
He smiles. “Hey Rumi, what am I supposed to do?”
And then he walks into her blade. It pierces him true, and he relishes holding her, if only for a mere fraction of a second, their time limited.
Just when things start to fade away, he hears it, barely: “J-Jinu?”
Rumi’s single word keeps echoing in his head, all he can hear. She shouldn’t have known his name yet. She shouldn’t have that gentle a tone yet.
Every time Jinu dies, he's flung back in time to right after the first Soda Pop performance. Why and how, he knows not. All he knows is Rumi is there with his soul each and every time.

Summary
The door slides open, and Tobirama can’t be bothered to do more than crack one eye open over the edge of his futon. Madara walks into the room with no mind to silence or subterfuge, flips up the edge of the bedding - Tobirama grumbles, pulling his knees up and tucking his feet tighter into the bulk of the blankets. All to settle himself into the warmth of the futon like it’s his own, bullying his way up against Tobirama’s back and breathing warm over his nape.
He sighs.
Madara’s bottom lip nudges at his earlobe. “Honoured wife.”
“Lecherous husband,” he mutters.

At the tiny droplets of blood splattered across his face , at his intense eyes, at his mouth smeared with blood. He felt the taste of it on his tongue.
Madara held his promise.
He would always hold it. There was nothing Tobirama could do or say to stop him. This was it. Tobirama married him, mated with him for the rest of his life. Madara killed and he would undoubtedly kill again.

Seven years ago, civil war ignited Hi no Kuni and made forests into a wasteland. The flames spread to surrounding countries, annexed and divided and defended viciously. At the core of it all, two opposing factions remain locked in endless balance. For five, Madara has led the allied dōjutsu clans as their general, and slowly taken foothold after foothold through the land. Like the edge of a scroll set alight, burning slowly inwards.
He unknowingly acquires the Senju's second son as a hostage during the monsoon season. It becomes...complicated.

Kinktober Day 15 - Somnophilia – Sweet dreams – Incubus/succubus
Sleeplessness can be the downfall of a strong man.
Madara is strong; and still he suffers a bone-deep exhaustion. He’s sought healers and salesmen and folk remedies, but has found no relief in tonics and charms and bundles of burning herbs. Alcohol can make his passing sleep deeper, but still he wakes wretched and sick in the deep of the night, eyes burning and his head pounding in the sun. His vision fogs around the edges and his mind becomes slower, heavier, his thoughts moving through murk that threatens to drown him.
He knows of many kinds of yokai, from yuki-onna to amanojaku - and while it’s hard to tell which this creature might be more similar to, he can make his assumptions. This pretty yokai would stalk him and seduce him, feed itself on his chakra rather than blood or flesh…and all the tales he knows of such creatures tell of the deep, dreamless slumber their victims enjoy.

Nicky finally raises his gaze to Joe's face. "Really?"
Joe shrugs. "Guys with muscles as their top goal are 85% assholes with inferiority complexes. Testosterone, steroids, fragile masculinity... it's a thing." He makes a face and Nicky relaxes and does a pretty convincing smile.

Andy's back to full strength now, and nearly killed Joe for 'mother henning' her too much, so Joe takes that as his sign that they can go out now without needing to leave someone home with her.
"Nile," Joe says over breakfast, "What do you say we take you to see the Louvre today?"
Nile perks up, the sleepiness all but evaporating from her. "Really?"
"Of course. There is so much for you to learn, we would be remiss to not show you these things as we travel," Nicky chimes in, smiling fondly over at Joe for the idea.
"I've always wanted to go," Nile says, not bothering to try and contain her excitement. "A virtual tour during my studies just wasn't the same."
"Great! Let's go. We don't have anywhere else to be any time soon," Joe says.
It has been lifetimes since they last saw the Louvre. And one piece in particular, that they'd thought lost to time.

Sarwa is ladling stew into bowls and she hands the first one to Yusuf, who passes it to Nicolo and takes a drink from the now filled flask. “Is he your lover?” she asks.
Yusuf chokes on water and Nicolo pounds his back, eyebrows peaked with concern.
“I—” Yusuf pauses, wiping his streaming eyes.
Sarwa looks at him, nothing but mild curiosity on her face.
Yusuf glances at Nicolo. The firelight paints his cheekbones flickering gold, his eyes hooded and sleepy in the dim light.
“I don’t know what he is,” Yusuf finally admits, still looking at Nicolo.
Nicolo’s mouth quirks and he takes another bite of soup.
“He looks at you like you belong to him,” Sarwa says.
Nicolo keeps eating, oblivious to what they’re saying.
“I think he belongs to me too,” Yusuf whispers.
