In hindsight, Zoro should have expected this.
The island was gorgeous: A tree-lined little thing painted with pristine white sand and dimpled by a maze-like cave system that led out into the most serene cove he'd ever seen. Tidepools filled with vibrant aquatic life, crystalline stalamites, and an ocean so clear and calm that each and every anemone, urchin, and fish popped against the ocean floor.
He'd been so lost in the expanse of pure, undisturbed peace and unclaimed scenery that he hadn't noticed the merman. Merthing? It was hard to tell. Maybe it was some form of Fishman.
Whatever it was, it slunk towards him in a giant mess of slick, iridescent yellow tentacles.
"What the fuck."

Summary
“What’s your name?” he asks, because if their patient is conscious, he might as well tell them. There’s something uncomfortably detached about referring to someone as “that guy” when you’ve seen half of their innards spilling out. “I’m Sanji,” he offers when he gets no immediate response, and he itches for a cigarette to entertain himself with while the man pulls his feet under him like a newborn lamb.
In the faint moonlight and backlit with the light from the hallway, he’s both deathly pale and bathed in shadows that make him look gaunt and distraught. His hand reaches up to his throat, not touching, just hovering, and he opens his mouth on a word, his lips dry, pink with small cracks that threaten to break and well up with blood. No sound leaves him.
His hand drops, mouth closing with a clack of teeth gnashing together, swallowing down ire instead of words.
Sanji frowns. “Can you talk?”
His stomach drops at the glare that earns him. Vicious and a little wild around the edges, like he’s mad Sanji even dared to ask.

Summary
The man’s message isn’t exactly what he’d been expecting, but it’s not like Zoro is in a position to judge. In fact, he’s never been more thrilled, which is more than he can say for most things Nami drags him into. For once, she seems to have done him a favor instead.
Zoro rereads the message again, excitement bubbling up within. He doesn’t even try holding back his smile.

Summary
Cale Henituse wakes in a different world, and it would all be according to plan if it weren't for two things: the God of Death's Mirror has disappeared into thin air, and this was not Aipotu. Instead of dragons aspiring to godhood, there's much talk of an Emperor losing his marbles, his once-beloved daughter becoming a wanted fugitive, and a vengeful ghost trying to overthrow the government. But, seriously, it's none of Cale's business.
This wasn't on the roster of worlds to save, the body he's in is half-dead, none of his allies are with him, there's a god out there that he must kill, and most importantly of all, Cale hates hard work.
If only Felix Robane hadn't forced him to come to that damn debutante ball.
