It seemed as if the older man held a silent shrine to his older brothers everywhere. All they were was everywhere now, lost in the grand circulation of the rukh, pieces of them tumbling through every beam of light that cut through the clouds, and gracing all the four corners of the earth.
The melody warbled on as Hakuryuu’s gaze lengthened. Without speaking, Wang Wei’s poem rang out mournful and low through the strings as he watched the broad back before him.
