He has to back out of the original story—wants to. Canon be dammed. There's no way he's going to go through the real-life and death experience of Jujutsu Kaisen of all games. Nuh uh. He'll do anything to get away from the scene where Sukuna tore out the MC's heart, in first-person POV. That literally horrified him to the core.
Being Sukuna's vessel has already been thrown out of the window anyway.

He doesn't know why he isn't panicking. His mind is stupidly clear for having just transmigrated between universes. Either an isekai buff or it's all just too ridiculous to yet register. Also, his midsection hurts, he should heal that. Oh! Guess original Sukuna's abilities integrated into him completely. Controlling cursed energy feels completely natural. Atleast there's that. Should he ever want to kill somebody or himself he'll have no problems.
Or; some random dude gets thrust into Sukuna's position and thus has to navigate (and fix— his morals demand) the world of Jjk without fucking things up too bad and going insane in the process
