Jungkook wasn’t out to challenge anyone when he started working out. He just… liked the feeling of his body when the hard lines became harder lines, rounder lines, lines that quickly became curves.
He felt powerful, strong and untouchable. Like the Alpha he is.
Bang Chan likewise started working out to perform better after repeated injury. To last longer. To maintain the strength a good leader of a small pack ought to have, to keep his precious packmates safe. Cared for. Performing well.
But as the ‘97 liners met up, maintaining the bond being Alphas born in the same year, working the same industry, had grown… They realized they were unconsciously sizing each other up. For months, they both walked away a little drunk and a whole lot motivated.
Neither was going to complain about the latter, either. Not until the night it all boiled over, right in front of their respective packmates.

Summary

*Photos used are canon, but with an altered 'origin' and story behind them. Events are also primarily canon, however, timelines may be wonky as needed to fit the fuller narrative. It's still canon, just not 100% accurate.
