"Sorry for waking you up," C00lkidd said suddenly. 1x scoffed, dismissing his concern.
"Nah, kid, I was already awake."
The child tilted his head in an almost cute gesture of confusion. "But why, though?"
"Same reason as you," 1x said impulsively. They regretted it the moment the words left their mouth.
C00lkidd looked at him with a mix of curiosity and genuine sympathy. "Did you have a bad dream about your dad, too?" 1x bristled, stuttering for a second before managing to speak.
"He isn't my—" Something made she stop mid-sentence, teeth gritting. Telamon never acted like a father to them. But, in the distant past, 1x remembered thinking of him as one. Hell, they remembered calling him that - for the first and last time. The god's piercing glare and the harsh retort they received in return were enough to change 1x's entire perspective. Telamon is your creator, do not treat him as anything less than that.
Even so, the answer slipped out again before 1x could hold it back. "...Something like that," she muttered, crossing her arms.

Sigma has never understood romance. Ever. Not when Nikolai would talk about Fyodor in a frankly concerning way, not in movies, not when Dazai talked about committing a lover's suicide with a beautiful woman, not even when Atsushi and Lucy would dance around each other, flirting in their own way.
They weren't proud of it, but they had grown to accept that part of their humanity was missing. As long as others didn't find out, they'd manage.
The thing is, Sigma has some really smart coworkers.

Summary
While 1x cooks a meal and allows Coolkid to play with her hair, she thinks about how Telamon never did anything like this. It angers them, and they decide they'll take good care of Coolkid while he is here. 007n7 finds out and expresses gratitude.

“Do you like chicken?” Coolkid asked, an innocent question, but one that still gave 1x pause.
1x did not like chicken.
For a number of reasons, but perhaps it stemmed from how Telamon constantly ate it. He’d bring a bucket of it home, eat most, give 1x the leftovers. It was fine at first, but eating it constantly for years made it taste like vile paste.
The mere thought of it reminded her of Telamon. Returning home, mouth full, content, after leaving 1x alone for another week.
Offering her that same chicken, after leaving her to starve. She’d be so hungry she’d accept it, she had to, but it tasted so revolting she considered just starving.
Blinking, 1x realized she’d gone silent, and Coolkid was staring at her with a confused expression.
“No.” She eventually said, stirring the rabbit around in the pot.

De-aging someone, of course.
