Summary
Anakin Skywalker has fallen to the Dark Side. In doing so he has betrayed everything and everyone he ever loved. A decade on and Obi-Wan still can’t come to terms with the loss of his best friend, former Padawan, and other half. The person he loved above all else betrayed him. He left Obi-Wan alone. Although Obi-Wan should know by now there are always two sides to every story.
(or Anakin is replaced by a clone who becomes Darth Vader while being held prisoner. This is how him and Obi-Wan find each other and themselves again and bring down the Empire while doing it.)

“For xahx’s sake,” Obi-Wan hisses, stumbling to his feet. He has to focus very hard on keeping his gaze firmly on the boy’s face, Force’s sake, it’s a human boy with wings— “What are you? Who are you?”
The boy cowers back on the cave floor, eyes wide. “I’m sorry, Jedi, I didn’t mean to fall asleep, I was going to wait until daylight to turn!”
“To—to turn?” Obi-Wan covers his face with his hands, feeling a noticeable flush on his cheeks from the shock of waking up to a naked young man on his lap. His voice is sharp. “Are you a shapeshifter? Ekkai?”
“Dai,” the boy breathes in response. Obi-Wan notices a tremble in his limbs; he feels a pang of guilt in the pit of his stomach and tries to soften his posture in response. “The Force.” He points at himself.
Obi-Wan inhales slowly through his nose.
“You know of the Jedi, then?” He asks, keeping his voice measured.
“The Jedi,” the boy confirms. “The Sith.”
Instantly, the Force screams out like alarm bells.

Summary
The cub opens its eyes at the same time Obi-Wan hears Qui-Gon say, as if from far away: “The choice is yours to make. But it’s only right that you be aware that doing so will kill the j’ali."
Intelligent curiosity shines in its eyes. The thought of damning it to a cruel and heartless death brings Obi-Wan physical pain. “No,” whispers Obi-Wan unknowingly. He can’t let the cub die. If he does, he senses that the Force will rip itself loose and leave him a hollow echo.
“I thought so,” says Qui-Gon, resigned.
(While on a mission, Obi-Wan is gifted an unusual beast.)

“Anakin Skywalker,” Qui-Gon declares, laughter sparking in the back of his eyes as he leans back into the ship floor, “meet Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
Obi-Wan blinks down at the boy, takes in the luminous eyes that stare up at him, the clearly written awe in the young face. He tries to clear his throat, to speak, but the words stick under his tongue.
“Hi,” Anakin greets, smiling so hard his eyes are pushed into little half-moons. Obi-Wan take his small outstretched hand, shakes it firmly. He tries not to say "I know you like the back of my own hand" or "I’ve dreamed of meeting you for years."

Summary
Anakin Skywalker does not join the Jedi Order, he is returned home and forgotten about. War breaks out across the galaxy, and a contingent of Jedi’s and their army are sent to Tatooine to retrieve Seperatist allies with intelligence that could bring an end to the conflict.
It does not go as planned, and instead they are forced into a reckoning that will save the galaxy, or plunge it into darkness forever.
