He knew it was impossible. Avery had gotten his tubes tied last year, though he still took birth control to handle his periods. Even if that wasn’t a factor, the damage absorbing Hastur had done to his body had left him completely infertile according to the doctors. He and Avery were both completely on board with adopting children at some point in the future in any case, so he wasn’t sure why his thoughts had wandered that far. He decided to ignore it, trying to push it as far back into his mind as he could.
Considering how much Avery was interacting with the children, that didn’t last long.

She looked around the living room in admiration. Yeonjun didn’t care much for the expensive furnishings or the large television and sound system. She was entranced with the traces of family.
A stack of freshly washed clothes sat in a neatly folded pile on an armchair. A few pairs of dress shoes were scattered around the front door from where Haru’s parents must have had a last minute change of mind. A wooden jewelry box sat on the coffee table, contents tossed lying around.
Yeonjun leaned forward and arranged everything back into the box carefully. This was a real home, lived in and full of love and warmth.

No, he didn’t know this Yeonjun. And he certainly didn’t know this Beomgyu who was so very yielding and sweet to the older. Because if that were the real him, he’d be making fun of Yeonjun into next week for being so fucking needy.
But still, he somehow… related to it.
It was in the slightest of ways, a comment that he didn’t think twice about until now, but he still related to it.
