Alex seems to soak up the attention he naturally attracts in every scenario, so when they first started sleeping together, Henry had assumed it would be the same in bed—that Alex would revel in being the centre of that sort of intense focus, perhaps even expect it. But Alex has, from the very first, been one hidden depth buried under another, a series of discoveries Henry will eagerly spend his whole life charting. From their very first night together, when Alex grabbed the metaphorical bull by the horns and took a decidedly learn-by-doing approach to his first blow job, he’s been painstakingly dedicated to taking Henry apart piece by piece, only willing to chase after his own orgasm once Henry has been thoroughly satiated. To Henry’s knowledge, no one has ever spread Alex out on soft sheets and focused solely and completely on making him feel as wanted and worshipped and adored as he is.
As far as he’s concerned, it’s well past time someone did.

They’re saying goodbye, but his heart is so incredibly light that nothing else matters but Alex lying here with his ridiculous eyelashes brushing across Henry’s jaw as he presses light kisses to the skin, dimpled with goosebumps.
“I have to get dressed,” Henry laughs, though he makes no move to get up. His fingers dig deeper into Alex’s scalp, weaving in through the hair.
