    Bob didn’t answer right away. Instead, he took a deep breath, his massive shoulders rising and falling. He stared at the red sky, as if contemplating the question himself.

    “I think it is,” he finally said. “I think it’s worth it, because staying here is worse than what’s out there. Out there, there’s hope. There’s a chance. Here, it is just... darkness.” He gave a wistful smile. “And I’ve been here long enough, Percy. I don’t think I want to stay anymore.”

    Separated after the war, and with no one else left in the world, Sirius and Remus write letters to each other. Of course, Remus isn’t actually allowed to send letters to Azkaban - and Sirius is only writing them inside his head. But still they write. Even though each will never know the other thought of them or answered them or still loved them - still they write. For twelve long and lonely years.

    But two one sided friendships is almost a real friendship, right?
