Summary
Riki had every reason to know that wanting Jungwon was a sin.
The first was written in his blood. Half-demon, born of shadow and ashes, a creature the court only tolerated because the Queen had decided to save him and call him son. No Fae had ever dared to bond with a demon, not without being cast out or killed.
The second reason was far crueler: Jungwon belonged to Jay, the future King, and Riki’s brother in all but blood.In a kingdom where mating bonds were sacred, sealed by divine law and royal decree, love was supposed to be pure, strategic, and sanctioned. Summary
Fifteen years ago Jay suffered the tragic loss of his parents, and while Jay was fortunately spared he felt like a part of him also died with them.
Since then, he’s had the face of the monster, of the vampire, who murdered his parents right in front of him ingrained forever in his brain. Jay swore that one day when he’s old enough, when he’s strong enough, he’d track down the one who killed them. After all these years he can finally settle the score with the one who stole his innocence.
(Or: Vampire hunter Jay hates vampires to his very core and is dead set on eradicating every last one. The path isn’t so straight and narrow, and he finds himself questioning his own humanity and compromising past loyalties).

Summary
Riki is thirteen when he meets Jungwon for the first time. A thin boy, a little shorter than him, with messy hair and eyes too big for his face.

Which is a problem, because Riki was raised to believe that a boy wanting another boy is a sin. And wanting your stepbrother is something you don’t even have words for.
So, over the years, what grows between him and Jungwon turns into a twisted cycle of fragile peace and brutal fights, nights spent together and regret, shame and obsession.Then the virus came. The world collapsed, and keeping each other alive suddenly became the only thing that truly mattered.

It doesn’t matter that I told myself a hundred reasons for why it was wrong. I still want you. It’s a need like water and like sleep. It’s under my skin—it wakes me in the night. It has been there since the first time you walked into my father’s house when I was thirteen and looked around like you didn’t know where to put your hands. It has been there—there since the first time you kissed me on my fifteenth birthday and I thought the floor would open up under my feet. It’s here now and it has been here every day between then and now. I have tried to make it smaller. I can’t. I want you.”
