Prompt: That post with the children gave me a scenario were Jack or Rhys are "stuck" and they can't contact the other, only one of their children is there as a witness. So it's a "go get mommy\daddy for help" but the child isn't making it easy as they don't or won't understand.

Rhys is unexpectedly sent back in time after opening the Vault of The Traveler to pre-borderlands Helios when Angel is still a rambunctious seven year old and Jack has only been the CEO of Hyperion for a couple years. His job? Probably to fix the timeline. To prevent Jack's death, and hopefully Angel's too. At least, that's what he's going to try to do. What he doesn't know is that it was complete serendipity that he was sent to that specific time and location. Technically he should be dead. And hopefully he'll either get back, or fix everything, before the Eridians come to dispose of the anomaly in the space time continuum. ( Also Jack and Rhys have some sexy time and other plot complications. Bare with me. Is that the right bear? I don't care whatever. Just read my story. Or don't. I'm not a beggar.)

“Oh, Rhys.” Vasquez actually tuts at him, the asshole. “I’m gonna start making some changes around here. Henderson was always too soft on you and your kind. He cost the Agency a lot of money, you know.”
“So?” the Omega grits out.
Vasquez, if possible, grows even smarmier. “So, starting today, you have a month to find yourself a Keeper. Or I’m assigning one to you.”
Rhys actually startles at that. “Wh- You can’t do that! That’s illegal!”
Or: Rhys is an Omega registered with Hyperion's Kept Omega Agency. Being Kept is different from courting or bonding - there are no formal attachments, just the promise of good company and the occasional bout of sex. His sisters like to call it glorified prostitution, but at least Rhys has some agency of his own, which is more than he ever would've gotten back on Pandora. Of course, that all goes to hell when Vasquez takes over, and gives Rhys an ultimatum: find an Alpha to Keep him, or be given one handpicked by Vasquez himself.
