Summary
Gasping for air, Leon lungs inflated and drained. Nerve endings firing with pain and confusion, he padded himself down and found that for all the bloodshed his injuries had healed themselves. The worst of it was a headache and ringing in his ears like a gun had gone off at close range. A bullet had struck him in the back, he remembered that, but he hadn’t felt it.
Scrambling to his feet, Leon secured the back doors of the van and clambered over the front seats to take the wheel. The keys were in the ignition. He drove without knowing where he was going and yet certainty that he would arrive.

Or, Leon survives an explosion and meets Mathilda at Tony's just as he promised.
