Summary
A series of self-indulgent vignettes for the Kris/Susie pairing. I'm a sucker for fluff and little character moments and thought I'd have a stab at writing a few myself. I can't guarantee chapters will be long or consistent, just that they're self-contained so you won't be stuck waiting for a climax.

Summary
Vyper is a terrible person. She's killed, maimed, and stolen her way into a hole that she can't possibly escape by herself, and made a string of enemies who keep digging her a deeper grave. After her most recent arrest, she wants so desperately to put her debts behind her.
Paige is by contrast a very good person. She reads books to small children and spends her days either reading or chasing down any semblance of a lead that may get her closer to finding the fate of her younger brother, Bryce. She will do nearly anything for closure. No man or god will stop her.
The two have very different goals, but their paths to success overlap in many ways.

Summary
Normally, people only put the headset on once. After all, what reason could someone have to return?
But then again, expecting the person Jax's mind file came from to follow the rules might have been a mistake
Or: Leeroy Mateo, on the verge of renaming herself, decides to celebrate how far she has come by going back to a place tied to the lowest point in her life. Surely, putting on a non functional headset as a sort of ritual won't be much more than that

But Jax remained no matter how she blinked, how she pinched herself—her nails were digging crescent moons into her palms and still he was there before her, regarding her with wide eyes.

Dear Jax,
Why do I begin all these letters with "dear Jax?" You weren't dear to me at all! You were an insufferable, insensitive, unlikeable, violent jackass who had absolutely no interest in changing. But I guess part of me assumed you'd give it up some day and get better. I don't know why, but the idea of you not getting a happy ending never felt real until you were already gone.

Or, Jax's abstraction hits Zooble a lot harder than they were expecting. They don't know how to explain this, not even to themself. At Kinger's suggestion, they attempt to anyway--through letters. They think it's stupid and pointless, but something makes them keep writing anyway.
