"I'm going to get you out of here, Ah-Yan." Zishu then picked Kexing up on his arms with great ease, even with Kexing barely responding to anything else around him and his body being weakened. He was light, too delicate to the touch to the point that Zishu was afraid to hurt him.
Kexing's head rested on Zishu's chest, with no strength to do anything else. He shrank into that small space. The extra layer of fabric over him was enough to have warmed him to feel his body relax. His eyelids were too heavy being impossible to open and even though he wanted to speak nothing meaningful came out of his lips.
"Ah-Shu..."
"I will take care of you. It's all right now." Hearing those words in Zishu's muffled voice, Kexing collapsed in his arms and the hairpin being held tightly in his blood and dirt stained fingers.

Somehow, Guzhu never showed any interest in him, even though he was in front of Guzhu everyday. Even though he tried to deny it, there was a tiny sprout of gratitude in his heart at Guzhu’s attitude. Guzhu didn’t treat him any differently, the beatings and the training never ceased in terms of its occurrence and intensity.
It made him feel normal in a weird, twisted way. It meant that being Kunze didn’t make him weak, didn’t make him delicate. Guzhu didn’t make him feel the need to be protected like how Luo-yi and A-Xiang did. Don’t be mistaken, by no way Wen Kexing would like that vile man. He still despised him, he still planned to kill him, to take revenge on him, but the normalcy that he felt with Guzhu made him decide that he would not kill him in a gruesome way that he originally planned.
Wen Kexing was an omega who went through horrible things at Ghost Valley and decided to hide his designation when he came to Human World. But then he met Zhou Zishu.
