What lingered in his mind were her eyes.
Pale, gleeful, high on the kill. Eagerly searching his face for cracks in his unflappable facade.
“Behold, Tyrant, Bhaal’s new chosen.”

Summary
“Come here, let me see you,” Gortash says. His hands, bare of their protective gold carapaces, gently prod at the blood-stained gashes in the Dark Urge’s robes. “Hells, she did a number on you. My poor monster…”
Or: the Dark Urge rolls a 20 on his Insight check when Orin tries to kill him, but doesn't escape unscathed and limps back to Gortash to lick his wounds.

Summary
———
Gale was at the head of the pack. He’d suggested he could tell the direction of civilization by sensing the movements of the weave. The dragonborn doubted it but said nothing. He was too busy devouring a jar of pickled fish he’d found in the looters tent and eyeing Astarion, who was behaving strangely.
The elf was walking farther off, alongside them, weaving in and out of trees, meandering between honey-gold rays of sunlight pouring down through the canopy. He stared up at the light and seemed to hardly be watching where he was going, only occasionally glancing over to them when he drifted too far away.
———
This is an ongoing novelization of the game. My aim is to give more detail and weight to events, story beats, character arcs, and all those things that we normally have to ignore because of video game reason: characters staying at camp, Withers reviving people, companions having little to say to each other, etc.
